Replacing the Main Panel Battery

1. Purchase a replacement battery. These are available at Canadian Tire.
2. Open the metal alarm box by unscrewing the screw along the side or top. This is usually a Robertson #2 screw.
3. Pull the red and black wires off the existing battery.
4. Swap the new battery in and reconnect the red and black wires to their respective colour-coded terminals.
   We recommend you write the date of the replacement on the battery.
5. Close the lid and secure it shut with the Robertson screw.
6. Wait 5 minutes for the yellow trouble light to clear.
